5 Ways to Turn Your Bedroom Into a Luxe Hotel

We all love a good night’s sleep when we are on an overseas trip so we can fully rest for the next day’s itinerary. With this in mind, some of us place the comfort and atmosphere of a hotel more than others who may choose a hostel to save for spending on other things.

But even when we are on business trips, relaxing in the comfort of the hotel room is something business travellers look forward to at the end of the day. We often look back on the pleasantness and atmosphere of the hotel room we stayed at when we are away from home. Why not create a hotel bedroom in our own home? Here are some things you can do to turn your bedroom into a luxe hotel.

Gorgeous Bed Sheets

The easiest way to spruce up your bedroom is to dress the bed with a gorgeous set of bed sheets. Hotels often use sateen or a crisp set of cotton sheets that are at least 300 thread count. Thread counts are not as important as the quality of thread, just touch and feel the sheets most comfortable for you. To have crisp bedsheets, you can iron your bed linen with linen spray added with rose or lavender essential oils. Or you can simply choose one of our Malaysia bedding collection to refresh your current bed linen set.

Layering Sheets with Comforter

One of the secrets in dressing up the bed into a hotel styled room is the layering of sheets. Luxe hotels often layer a thin blanket or comforter between two starched sheets. This creates a bed that feels crisp and clean and is also practical because it means the blanket can be laundered less often. Choose a quilt filled with microfibre and treated with anti-dust mite guard for easy maintenance and especially if you suffer from allergies.

Pillow Combination

5 Star hotels also layer their beds with a combination of pillows. You may see large and square pillows anchoring the back of your hotel bed. They may look visually pleasing and yet they are functional too. Having a combination of pillows give you different choices as to how to use them. The pillows allow you to lean back and read a book and not just used for sleep. Combine Affairs Living’s Hotelier Prestigio™ Luxe and Euro Pillow for the hotel bed look.

Fluffy Rugs

You may want to dress your bed with fluffy rugs which are found in luxe hotel rooms. You could purchase three fluffy rugs and decorate them around the sides and front of your bed.

Warm Lighting

You may notice that almost all hotel rooms have lamps or scones on either side of the bed. The warm lighting gives a soothing feel and create a warm and cosy mood in the room. Bedside lamps can be mixed and matched but for scones it is better that they are matched in pairs.
